RICS UK Fire Safety Virtual Conference

Nicola will participating in the RICS UK Fire Safety Virtual Conference on Monday 9th November 2020.  The conference will address the key fire safety priorities in the UK. 

Nicola will be involved with panel discussions regarding Office buildings and Hotels, and the implications of the post pandemic guidelines and Fire Safety Bill on Facility Management.  The panel will discuss how changes to the workplace and building operations brought about by social distancing will effect fire safety and what FM specialists need to focus on to minimise risk.

COVID-19 Update 

We have been monitoring the developments and following the advice from World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Government regarding COVID-19 Virus.  

Given the actions recommended by the Government we have taken the decision for all staff at DA Associates Consultancy Limited to work from home as from Monday 16th March 2020.  This decision also coincides with the latest RICS response to COVID Virus.

The Health, Safety and well-being of our staff Visitors and Clients is of importance to us.  We remain operational and committed to delivering the service you expect and where possible we will adopt a digital approach to our meetings and service we provide.  Our staff have the ability to work from home and can remotely access our system within a secure IT facilities.  In the interim, all staff have been asked to consider business and their personal travel.  We recognise that many Clients will also want to minimise their travel and face-to-face contact during this period and therefore we can facilitate meetings etc by telephone, video conferencing and Teams/Skype, we want to reassure you that we are taking sensible precautions to minimise the potential impact of Coronavirus on our Clients, Visitors, Staff and operations.
We are therefore closely monitoring and implementing official guidelines from the Government and health organisations in respect of COVID-19.

Fire Risk Assessments

Our team are due to undertake the Fire Protection Association  - Fire Assessment Course at the end of June 2020.  Giving the team an opportunity to offer Fire Risk Assessments, and work towards their registration of Fire Risk Assessors with the Institution of Fire Engineers.
